Niall Quinn, VJBL Chairman said: “I would like to congratulate the players and coaches on their achievements. Having the opportunity to represent Australia in a World Championship is truly a phenomenal feat and something that I am sure these players and coaches will treasure for the rest of their careers.”
Ross Wignell, Basketball Victoria’s Manager of Basketball Operations added: “Now that Taylor has returned to playing for Knox, Sam to playing for Diamond Valley and Owen to the AIS, hopefully the boys have realised what they require in their skills package to advance their game. Representing Australia at the age of 17 at a World Championship has been a fabulous experience for them. Being selected to a National Team and then finishing sixth in the world is a great effort. With more Australian team selection opportunities in the years ahead, building on their success, I hope to see these boys representing our country on the world scene again.”
